Approximately fifty shooters filled the Jack Jones Gymnasium at Norwich High School Saturday as the Purple Tornado Middle and High School Archery Teams hosted their annual tournament. Shooters from traveled from Arkport, Eldred, and Johnsburg Central School Districts joined the talent from the host team to compete in the elementary, middle and high School divisions. The Norwich teams, which saw a total of 10 individual place finishers, will be competing in Schroon Lake at the New York State Championships along with an additional qualifier later this spring and hope to qualify for the National competition in Louisville, Kentucky in May.
