Vietnam Era Veterans honored at commemoration ceremony

NORWICH – U.S. Congressman Anthony Brindisi visited Norwich Monday to recognize Vietnam era veterans.


The commemoration ceremony included speeches from Brindisi and Marine Major General Arnold Fields, followed by ceremonial pinning of each Vietnam veteran in attendance.


The ceremony was an effort to properly thank Vietnam war-era veterans for their service and welcome them home. This is usually done at the end of a war, but was never executed after Vietnam.
