Police investigate complaints of broken vehicle windows
CHENANGO COUNTY – The Norwich Police Department and Chenango County Sheriff’s Office are investigating multiple complaints involving vehicle windows being shot out of cars from a pellet gun.
According to Norwich Police Department Detective Sergeant Reuben Roach, from the evening of Friday the 21st to Monday the 24th, the Norwich Police Department has received several complaints from residents in the City of Norwich who had their vehicle windows shot out.
Roach said, “It appears at this time that the damage was done with a BB gun."
He added that law enforcement is asking residents to check their homes and garages for any damage that may have gone unnoticed and to contact the police department if there is any.
