STATEN ISLAND – Norwich’s Miranda Cole and Zach Lowe attended the New York State Championship for Indoor Track and Field at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex over the weekend, completing their 2019-2020 season at the highest level.

Cole, making her first appearance at the indoor state championships of her young career, competed in both the 55 meter and 300 meter dashes.

The Lady Tornado speedy sophomore took on the field of the 32 fastest athletes throughout the state in the 300 meter event. Cole’s time of 40.88 seconds gave her a 15th place finish and was enough to improve on her own school record set earlier this season.
