SHERBURNE - A Sidney police officer is facing felony charges after he allegedly sent indecent messages and photos to a minor.

Brandon S. Parry, 27, of Sherburne was charged with first-degree disseminating indecent material to a minor, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to New York State Police Troop C Public Information Officer Aga Dembinska, at approximately 10:17 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, troops found Parry at his residence in Sherburne, and he was arrested shortly after.

“Parry is accused of sending indecent messages and pictures to a minor,” said Debinska. “Parry was located at his residence and transported to the state police headquarters in Sidney where he was subsequently arrested.”

“Parry is employed as a police officer with the Village of Sidney Police Department.”
