Rolling Antiquers Car Club forced to cancel Memorial Weekend Car Show

CHENANGO – The Rolling Antiquers Old Car Club of Norwich announced the cancellation of the largest car show in the area this week, citing concern for the community's health.

Rolling Antiquers President Allan Strong wrote a letter to club members and the public this week.

“To Our Valued Car Show Participants and Patrons:

“The Rolling Antiquers Old Car Club of Norwich has hosted an annual Memorial Day Weekend Car Show at the Chenango County Fairgrounds for the past 54 years. Due to the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, we are canceling this year’s show.

“We feel a moral obligation to assist in limiting the spread of the virus, putting safety ahead of tradition. This is easiest done by not creating a mass gathering of people. We thank you for your many years of loyalty and ask your patience as we begin planning for our 55th car show in 2021.”

Respectfully,
Allan Strong
President Rolling Antiquers Old Car Club
