Chenango County receives funds to upgrade the Public Transit System

CHENANGO COUNTY – At April 13 Chenango County Board of Supervisor’s meeting, it was announced the county approved $980,000 to make upgrades to the Public Transit System.
According to the board of supervisors meeting minutes, the Capital Assistance Grant, administered by New York Department of Transportation, allows for the purchase of up to 14 buses and other equipment, such required radios and mobile fare collection devices.
