NORWICH – At Wednesday night’s Norwich School Board of Education meeting the board committee elected a new president and vice president.

Current Board Vice President Brian Reid was nominated for president with no competing nominations. The vote for Reid was unanimous throughout the board.

Brian Burton, Reid's predecessor, handed Reid the presidential name plate and gavel and Reid signed his oath as president.

"Thank you Brian for serving last year," said Board Member Jamie Maistros. To which Burton jokingly replied, "Thank you for not making me do it another year."
