NEW BERLIN – The Village and Town of New Berlin will welcome the opening of a new medical office Tuesday.

The new primary care office will provide healthcare and other service to the area and is being constructed by Acension Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, who are also working closely with Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin. Officials said the Lourdes and Chase saw a need in the area and wanted to help.

New Berlin Mayor Terry Potter said the new medical office would be a great benefit to local residents, especially the elderly and those with limited means, and especially during the ongoing pandemic.

“This is a great thing that is happening, I know there are a lot of residents who are very happy to have something so close to home. There is a need here,” said Potter.
