NORWICH – Tally Ho Treasures, a new antique shop, is set to open Thursday in downtown Norwich. The store carries vintage and collectors items such as artwork and home decor.
Co-Owners Jim Gallagher and Sharron Kantor purchased the property at 85 South Broad Street back in January. According to Gallagher, the building was used as a podiatry office prior to their taking it over.
Tally Ho Treasures hours of operation will be Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5:30 p.m.
Gallagher has spent more than 40 years as a high end antique dealer; he and is late partner traveled to between 40 and 50 antique shows a year. He maintained a warehouse and shop in North Norwich which he worked out of.
Kantor is retired from working in corporate America having traveled working for a financial institutuion and has been involved in several diverse businesses, including raising exotic animals.
After Gallagher met Kantor, they realized the trade show business was changing and that they needed to change with it.
