CHENANGO COUNTY – The county health department confirmed Tuesday an eighth person had died recently due to a COVID infection.

As of Tuesday there are 32 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, and ten individuals are currently hospitalized.

The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 428 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.

The health department also confirmed there are 224 residents under quarantine, and 371 total recoveries.

So far approximately 37,684 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.
