NORWICH – The American Legion Riders of Post 189, based in Norwich, visited the Hospice of Chenango County last week to donate an American Flag and a light to display it at night.
American Legion volunteers held a flag raising ceremony and a salute of respect, while dropping off the flag. Legion members said Hospice made a significant impact in the local community and its staff and supporters deserved special recognition.
The legion volunteers also walked around the facility to collect trash and clean-up the general area.
