CHENANGO – Monday Evening Music Club, celebrating its 110th year, will present nationally touring singer-songwriter and Smyrna native, Matt Nakoa in a virtual concert at 7 p.m., Monday, January 11.
The performance will air live via MEMC’s Facebook page and Nakoa’s YouTube channel, and will remain posted for viewers to enjoy after its premiere.
The Boston Globe described Nakoa (himself a former MEMC scholarship recipient) as “a hot-handed phenom who can go from Chopin to beer-drenched honky-tonk in one set.”
The club invites free will donations, all of which will fund scholarships to Chenango County students who plan to pursue music in college.
Details on how to donate will be displayed on-screen during the performance.
