Greene records third straight shutout

GREENE – Since its opening-game loss last week, Greene's boys' soccer team has paired outstanding offense with lockdown defense.

The Trojans (3-1) won their third straight game Thursday night, and recorded a third straight shutout as well blanking Susquehanna Valley, 3-0.

Greene mustered 28 shots on the evening, and finished with a 28-6 advantage in that statistic.

Terriek Brown scored the opener in the first half getting an assist from Scout McCumiskey, and Luke DeJager added an unassisted goal to open a 2-0 halftime lead.

"It was a great team win," said Greene coach Rick Tallman. "The boys played unified, and with passion."

In the 26th minute of the second half, Greene took advantage of a Sabers foul in the 18-yard box earning a penalty kick.
