UV girls win on Senior Night
NEW BERLIN - On a night its senior girls were recognized for their contributions to the soccer program, Unadilla Valley put together a torrent of first-half offense in a 4-0 shutout win over Afton-Harpursville on Tuesday night.
Kadence York had two of her three goals in the opening half when UV opened up a 3-0 halftime lead over the Bears.
Jaiden Schrag added the third goal for the Storm in the first half, and York polished off the scoring with the lone tally of the second half.
UV seniors recognized before the game were Emily Hill, RayLynne Kuhn, Paige Catena, Alyssa ManWarren, Regan Sabines, Josalynn Carson, Sapphire Allen, and Sophie Off.

OXFORD - Morgan Perry and Alexa Lucia each had a pair of goals for Unatego in a shutout win over Oxford on Tuesday night.
Perry scored her first goal off a Dana Stepp assist in the 16th minute of the opening half, and Stepp followed up with her lone goal 14 minutes later for the 2-0 halftime lead.
“We got outplayed by the best team in the league tonight,” said Oxford coach Sierra Badger. “Once we got it to the corner, we were able to get some looks on goal. But nothing connected tonight.”

VESTAL - Vestal connected with the back of the cage in the odd-numbered quarters, and held Greene off the scoreboard in a 2-0 shutout win on Tuesday.
Haley Beaghan put the Golden Bears up 1-0 in the first quarter tallying with just 50 seconds left in the period with the assist coming from Grace Haven.
Clinging to that one-goal advantage, Haven provided her club a two-goal cushion scoring at 10:55 of the third quarter.
Greene (2-2) totaled solid offensive statistics with eight shots and nine penalty corners, but was held off the board a second straight game.

Oxford sweeps three sets from Greene
OXFORD - Oxford’s varsity volleyball team ran its record to 4-1 on the season Tuesday night taking all three sets from Greene, 25-7, 25-12, 25-7.
The Blackhawks earned a large chunk of their points from the service line.
Lilie Horton had seven aces for Oxford, while Daysha Simpson and Mallory Olsen-Nichols served four aces apiece. Simpson added a team-high five assists, and Madalyn Barrows led Oxford with four kills.
Penelope Antizzo delivered four digs for Greene (1-3), and Mackenzie Ingraham totaled two kills.
Oxford plays at Deposit-Hancock Wednesday, while Greene hosts Afton-Harpursville on Thursday.
