CCHS receives funding from Stewart’s holiday match program

NORWICH – The Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS) was recently awarded a donation by the Stewart’s Holiday Match program totaling $750.

Funds will go directly to support activities designed to share local history with children and families. In addition to hosting both virtual initiatives and in-person activities, CCHS is collaborating with other community organizations to expand youth programming. Look for family-friendly activities featuring Chenango County history during upcoming local events, including the Chenango Child Advocacy Center’s Hope for Healing 5K in April, June’s Dairy Day Celebration at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, and Saturdays in the Park this fall.

“Thanks to the generosity of programs like the Holiday Match, our organization has a very promising future,” said Jessica Moquin, CCHS executive director. “Being a recipient of support from Stewart’s Shops is inspiring! This gift ensures the development of child-friendly and family-focused programs in celebration of Chenango County’s unique cultural heritage.”
