State Police urge homeowners to check for missing items in burglary investigation

SIDNEY - Police are encouraging local residents to check for missing items in their seasonal properties and storage sheds as they continue investigating a string of burglaries across Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego counties.

New York State Police have arrested two suspects in the case: 23-year-old Christopher Youngs Jr. of Maryland, NY, and 27-year-old John Clark of Morris. Both men are charged with second degree burglary and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.

Youngs and Clark were arrested on July 10. Youngs was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond while Clark was remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

Police are still seeking tips to locate stolen property which includes guns, generators, tools, and other valuables.
