SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Elementary School has recently completed the construction of a new playground.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be on Friday.
The project began during 2018 when the fifth grade class created a video for non-profit organizations to seek funding for a new playground.
The students were concerned about the lack of new equipment. The video itself can be viewed on the school’s Facebook page.
The class was able to get funding from Let’s Play, an initiative established by the Keurig Dr. Pepper conglomerate and Kaboom!, a non-profit organization devoted to improving playgrounds.
