Field Hockey: Afton/Harpursville 2, Greene 1

GREENE - Afton-Harpursville contained the Greene offense allowing just one shot on goal, but it still needed a late fourth-quarter goal to grab the close victory over the Trojans on Friday.

Alexandra Hosmer scored unassisted with just 4:33 left in the fourth giving her team the victory.

"It was a closely matched game, but Afton-Harpursville was just the better team tonight," said Greene coach Heather Rapp.

Greene's lone goal came with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Liv Kennedy tallied for the Trojans (5-2) off a Claire Flanagan pass that made it a 1-1 game.
