NORWICH - The Norwich Cyclones football team recognized senior players and cheerleaders this past Sunday at Alumni Field, and the Flag team and A team punched their tickets into the postseason.
Facing Union-Endicott, the Flag team picked up a 36-14 win, the B team fell in a close contest, 7-6, and the A team rolled to a 42-14 victory.
The victory for the A team clinched the division title, and ran its season record to 7-0. It will continue its season Sunday, Oct. 17 when it hosts Chenango Forks at 1:30 p.m. at Alumni Field.
The B team earned a crossover game, and it winds down its season Sunday at Owego at 1:30 p.m., while the Flag team travels to Montrose Saturday, Oct. 16 for a 4 p.m. start.
