"I'm very overwhelmed by the support and, you know, the people that came out to support me. I'd like to thank my family, mother, father, sisters, and my wife Valerie for all they did for me, and council members for their words of support," said Doliver. "I'm excited for the next part, to actually be able to get the work started now."

When his term starts, Doliver said one of the first things he would like to do as mayor is begin building relationships, and working with, nearby municipalities and their organizations.

“What I'd like to do is start reaching out to, you know, Oneonta, Oneida, some of the other communities of similar sizes to us, to see what they're doing and try to have a connection with them," he explained. "That's what I'm hoping my administration can do, start to collaborate with other organizations, businesses, other cities. So that's going to be a big part of what I'd like to do."
