Norwich places five wrestlers at Blue Devil Invitational
CAMDEN - Continuing the momentum from its dual meet win earlier in the week, Norwich's wrestling team placed sixth out of 21 teams at the Camden-hosted Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday.
Norwich brought eight wrestlers to the tournament, and five came away with top-four finishes.
"The guys wrestled really well, and keep showing improvement," said Norwich coach Bob Hagenbuch.
Norwich entered the finals in fourth-place, before dropping two spots to sixth.
Ashton Jenkins reached the finals for Norwich at 160 pounds, and wound up in second place.
Maverick Beckwith (102) and Brady Smith (145) placed third for the Purple Tornado, while Evan Meek (118) and Rob McIntyre (285) brought home fourth-place finishes.
