DEC gives ice rescue demonstrations at Friends of Rogers Winter Living Celebration

(Right) Ranger providing a demonstration on how to climb out of the water during a flat ice rescue demonstration. Spectators learned how to rescue others and themselves in the event that they fall through the ice. Once out of the water, Rangers said it's important to stay low and close to the ice, and distribute body weight as much as possible.
