Sherburne bus driver arrested on additional charges
SHERBURNE — On February 9, 2022, New York State Police at Norwich charged Douglas C. Webb, age 61 of Sherburne, NY for the felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing, first degree, and the misdemeanor of Falsifying Business Records, second degree.
Webb, who was a bus driver at the Sherburne-Earlville School District, was initially arrested last week by State Police and charged with the misdemeanors of Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The investigation of that case revealed that on his application to become a school bus driver, Webb failed to disclose that he had a previous conviction on a charge of sex abuse in the second degree.
Webb was processed at SP Norwich and was released on appearance tickets to the Sherburne Village Court on February 17, 2022.

How on planet earth, can this lack of diligence, when it comes to our children, be so grossly irresponsible? It's 2022 people. You don't ask a pedophile if they've ever been a pedophile...you do a background and fingerprint check on any and all people that have access to our children!!!!!! This infuriates me.
