Baseball: Sherburne-Earlville defeats Herkimer

HERKIMER– Sherburne-Earlville baseball team picked up the 8-3 win over Herkimer on Monday.

Nick McDaniel pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs on five hits, one walk, and struck out nine batters. McDaniel also got on base three times with two singles and a walk.

Along with McDaniel, Taylor Grzymkowki and Garrett Fleming had two hits each.

Ben Menard, Preston Eaves, Blaine Blinebry, and Derick Miller each had one hit in the win. Blinebry also scored two runs for the Marauders.

Herkimer pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts in the loss.

Sherburne-Earlville will face Clinton on Thursday before hosting Mount Markham on Friday. Both games are for 4:30 p.m.
