OXFORD - The Oxford Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday in Lafayette Park with singer-songwriter Mike Davis performing in the bandstand from 10 a.m. to noon.
Mike Davis is a member of the eclectic soul band The Laughing Buddha Episodes. Davis' jam-style acoustic guitar and live-looping have a sound and a spirit all their own, and propel his heart-driven music.
Vendors at the Oxford Farmers’ Market will have an abundance of freshly harvested seasonal veggies this week, including (but not limited to) first-of-the-season corn, cucumbers, eggplant, summer squash, zucchini, kale, cabbage, lettuce, Swiss chard, carrots, beets, and herbs.
Shoppers will also find delicious local meats and cheeses; fresh baked breads, pies, cookies and scones; locally-grown and milled grains as well as flours, granolas, crackers, and mixes made with local grains; local syrup and honey; jams, salsas, and pestos; and artisan crafts.
All events at the Market are free and open to the public. For more information about Oxford Farmers’ Market’s vendors, performances, and other events happening around town, visit their website at oxfordfarmersmarket.org.
