GOLF: Oxford gets past Delhi 282-304

DELHI – On Wednesday, the Oxford Blackhawks Golf team evened out their record to 1-1 after defeating Delhi 282-304.
In the second match of the season, freshman Bennett Paden was the top medalist for the Blackhawks after shooting a 51. Kyle Benjamin, who had a successful first match on Monday, finished behind Paden with a 53.
Delhi’s top two golfers shot a 52 and a 56, but the rest of the team could not compete with Oxford’s bottom half of the lineup.
Degan Endress rounded out the top three golfers after shooting a 56 while Ethan Hodge’s 58 and Sylas Emerson’s 64 got it done for the bottom three.
Oxford will travel to Sidney this morning (Thursday) with a tee off scheduled for 10 a.m.
