GOLF: Oxford defeats BG

OXFORD – On Wednesday, the Oxford Blackhawks captured their fifth win of the season, defeating Bainbridge-Guilford 227-333.
Bennett Paden continues to stay strong after chipping in a 40 for an all-match low. Celeste Baldwin was the Bobcats’ top medalist with a 57.
Ethan Hodge shot a 43 as teammate Kyle Benjamin finished with a 45 for the Blackhawks. Degan Endress continues to impress at the fourth position, chipping in a 47 on the day. Finishing off the scoring for Oxford was Sylas Emerson with a 52.
Oxford (5-3) has some time to prepare before facing neighbors Greene on Monday, September 19 at 4:30 p.m. Bainbridge-Guilford (2-3) will face a tough Sidney team on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Ox (227): Bennett Paden 40, Ethan Hodge 43, Kyle Benjamin 45, Degan Endress 47, Sylas Emerson 52, Nick Richette (62-not used).
BG (333): Celeste Baldwin 57, Owen Flemming 58, Cole Flemming 63, Gabe Waldey 76, Mason Brown 79.
