GIRLS SWIMMING : Greene drops second meet of season to Oneonta
ONEONTA – On Tuesday, the Greene girls swim team traveled to Oneonta High School, where the Yellow Jackets got the best of them 128-36. It was the second meet of the season for both teams.
For the Trojans, Alexis Clark picked up the victory in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:49.40. She also finished second in the 200 yard medley relay with teammates Savannah Nowalk, Mallory Jeffrey, and Alexa West (2:55.58).
Greene saw a first place finish from its 200 yard freestyle relay team. The team consisted of Madison Pavlovich, West, Stephanie Hall, and Nowalk. They achieved a time of 2:24.83, collecting eight points.
Greene also picked up fourth place finishes from Nowalk in the 100 yard breaststroke and in the 100 yard freestyle. Pavlovich took fourth in the 100 yard butterfly and in the 200 yard individual medley. Natalie Specht earned two points in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle events. Hall finished fourth in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 35.40 seconds.
As a team, Greene finished fourth in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a team of Pavlovich, Clark, Keeli Roe, and Specht.
Greene (0-2) travels to Chenango Valley for a meet on September 20 at 5:30 p.m.
