OWEGO – On Friday afternoon, the Norwich girls tennis team defeated Owego-Apalachin 5-2 for the second time this season. In the first matchup, Norwich took the 4-3 win to start the 2022 season.
In the singles matches, Willow Swingle captured a win for Norwich as she defeated Zoe Zachary in both sets, 6-1, 6-2. Addison Jackson also earned a victory for the Purple Tornado in both sets against Sydney Watson (7-6, 6-4).
For the doubles, Caiden Lewis partnered with Kaite Zieno to take down Piper Cunningham and Elain Anschutz with scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
