NEW BERLIN – On Friday afternoon, the Unadilla Valley Storm girls soccer team battled it out against the Greene Trojans. The Storm overcame the Trojans 1-0 late in the second half.
After a scoreless first half, UV found leverage as Jaiden Schrag dribbled her way to the net and put a shot on that hit the post and came down inside the goal. This shot would be the game-winner.
Greene had quite a few chances as Cassie Butler earned direct kicks on UV fouls but Kalie Naughton stood her ground alongside a strong UV defense.
UV heads to Unatego on Tuesday at 6 p.m. while Greene travels to Sidney Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
