SHERBURNE – On Wednesday, the Sherburne-Earlville boys soccer team played their final home game of the 2022 season with a 7-1 loss to Mount Markham.
Mount Markham scored quickly in the first half, but Garret Winton made sure S-E answered back as he provided an offensive drive that sent him making contact with the goalie on the right side but was able to kick it to the left for the goal. Winton leads the Marauders with two goals this season while teammate Michael Behret has one.
S-E had good rhythm in the game, despite only scoring the lone goal, but Nate Pcola stood his ground for the Mustangs. S-E goalie Avery Parsons made nine saves in the loss.
