VOLLEYBALL: BG falls short to Walton

BAINBRIDGE – Coming fresh off a win against Unatego, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats volleyball team was back in action against Walton. While the Bobcats played fiercely, they suffered a 3-2 loss.
After BG had a 2-1 lead, Walton forced a fifth game, taking a close fourth game 28-26, before earning a 15-13 win in the fifth game.
Despite the loss, BG saw a strong performance from their top leaders, including Kaylynn Crandall with 30 assists. Jordyn Parsons led the team with 20 kills to go along with seven digs while Alyssa Finch had 13 aces and six digs.
Peyton Umbra earned eight digs and three kills as Kaydence Brimmer contributed with five kills and two blocks.
For Walton, Caroline Gorence collected 12 kills, 12 digs, and two blocks while teammate Ella Rhinehart had 15 assists and two aces. Katlyn Gregory picked up 15 digs as Larissa Hulse had six kills and Aubrie Butler helped out with four aces in the win.
