NY State Police investigate alleged shooting
OXFORD – The New York State Police in Norwich are investigating a reported shooting that occurred on Friday.
A woman was taken to Chenango Medical Hospital with a reported gun shot injury before being transported to Wilson Medical Center in Binghamton.
“A person was shot but the circumstances into the shooting are under investigation,” reported state police Tuesday morning.
Two nearby Oxford schools went into lockdown over the incident but it was not clear where the incident took place. School officials said the incident did not happen at the school.
No other information was available Tuesday morning and the matter is under investigation.
