Police investigating fatal crash in Greene

GREENE – The New York State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in Greene and identified the drivers on Wednesday.
At about 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, the New York State Police at Sidney were dispatched by Chenango County 911 to a report of a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 12 in the town of Greene. 
A preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that Maryann R. Zupo, 42 of Greene, NY, was traveling south on State Highway 12 in the town of Greene and crossed into the path of another vehicle that was traveling north. 
Zupo was extricated by members of Greene EMS and life saving measures were unsuccessful.  Zupo was pronounced deceased on the scene. 
The driver of the other vehicle, Shelby M. Rose, 22, of Norwich, NY suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wilson Medical Center for further medical care. 
The investigation is ongoing.
