LAURENS – Over the weekend, the Bainbridge-Guilford girls basketball team participated in the Pat Grasso Tournament held in Laurens. B-G defeated Edmeston in the opening round to move on to the championship where they defeated Laurens.
Celeste Baldwin received the MVP award for her 21 points scored in the championship game, including 13 in the first half. She also scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds in the game against Edmeston.
Teammate Johnna Henderson scored 20 points and picked up 10 rebounds against Edmeston while finishing the tournament with 14 points. Her performance led to all-tournament team honors.
B-G (2-0) hosts Harpursville on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
