BOYS BASKETBALL: OV suffers loss to McGraw
OTSELIC – On Monday, the Otselic Valley boys basketball team put up a strong battle against McGraw but suffered a 74-63 loss.
While the Vikings tried to keep up with McGraw’s strong athleticism, they were unable to match the intensity on defense. McGraw put up 20 points in the second quarter to lead 38-28 at halftime before coming out strong with 25 points in the third. OV scored 27 points in the fourth quarter but their efforts were not enough.
The Vikings were led by Braeden Davis and Drew Sibila, who put up phenomenal numbers. Davis went wild with 32 points, including 12 free throws and knocked down four three’s. On the other hand, Sibila laid down three three-point shots in his 20 points.
OV (1-1) will host DeRuyter this evening (Thursday) at 7 p.m.
