NEW BERLIN - The NYSPHSAA concluded their 2022 fall-scholar athletes report, where they found that the numbers of individuals and teams increased from the past year. Over 49,000 individuals and over 3,800 teams were honored for this year’s past fall season.
Out of those individuals and teams, many of the local Chenango County teams were included. Like Norwich and Oxford, the Unadilla Valley Storm proudly acknowledge their 2022 fall-scholar athletes and teams.
The girls varsity soccer team and the girls varsity volleyball team held a roster of more than 75 percent of athletes with a 90 or higher GPA. Pyper Kneale (Soccer) and Allison Allen (Volleyball) achieved the highest overall average of their respective sports.
For the boys, Trent Marinelli (Soccer), Alex Kemnah (Cross Country), and Ashton DeSha (Football) held the highest overall averages.
