SOFTBALL: Norwich honors seniors in loss to Windsor

NORWICH – On Monday, the Norwich Purple Tornado softball team recognized its 2023 seniors in the 17-0 loss to Windsor. Prior to the start of the game, six committed seniors were honored.
Congratulations to Andrea Alvarez, Tessa Doland, Cabrarrah Lawton, Emily Flynn, Haley Beckwith, and Adrianna Palmer.
Norwich was held to one hit throughout five innings with freshman Shaelyn Rice reaching base with a single. Caitlin Wetterhahn and Loralee Brown both pitched on the mound. Wetterhahn went three innings and struck out one batter while Brown pitched in relief the remaining two innings and struck out two batters.
Norwich have two remaining home games this week, where tonight they will host Oneonta at 5:30 p.m.
