NORWICH – The Norwich Fire Department and emergency services responded to an accident along County Route 32 just outside of the City of Norwich on Thursday morning.

Norwich Fire Chief Jan Papelino said at about 10:10 a.m. a delivery truck full of commercial CO2 cylinders for food service, was unable to stop coming down a hill and crashed into a ravine.

The chief said the driver estimated he was traveling at about 30 or 40 mile-per-hour at the time he crashed. The truck rolled over and came to a stop in a wooded area more than 150 feet from the roadway. The driver walked away uninjured.
