NORWICH – Award winners of the 2023 Chenango County Traffic Safety Board youth poster contest were lauded by members of the county’s board of supervisors during their recent monthly meeting.

This year’s poster theme took aim at impaired driving and its effects.

The contest requested that school-aged participants submit posters raising awareness about impaired driving by focusing on four key points: defining “impaired driving;” illustrating the risks of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; encouraging driving to avoid impaired driving; and depicting the legal consequences of driving under the influence.
