New project announcement: Public health building

CHENANGO COUNTY — The Chenango County Department of Public Health is excited to announce a new permanent building at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, located at 168 East Main Street in Norwich, next to the Emergency Services Building.


The new Public Health building will give the department a formal presence at the Chenango County Fair. It will also serve as a location for other events and activities, such as drive-through shot clinics, rabies clinics, and community educational events.

Together with a New York State Public Health Corps Program (NYSPHC) fellow, the Chenango County Public Health staff planned and organized the building project. The NYSPHC aims to build public health capacity to support COVID-19 vaccination operations and increase preparedness for future public health emergencies.
