Girls Soccer: OV earns impressive win vs Stockbridge

MUNNSVILLE – Coming off a tie against Fabius Pompey, the Otselic Valley Vikings girls soccer team faced Stockbridge Valley/Morrisville-Eaton on Monday. The Vikings came away with a 8-1 victory and continue to show strength at 4-2-1 on the season.

The Vikings never lost momentum as they scored four goals in each of the two halves and held the Cougars to their lone goal in the first half.

Senior Rachel Loomis continues to have an excellent season so far as she led OV with four goals and two assists in the win. She now has 12 goals overall, which is one more from her previous season total.

Susannah Lyon scored two goals while Makayla Mills and Kali Waltz pushed through to score one goal apiece. Lyon also picked up two assists while Skyler Graham had one assist. Carlie Golden made six saves in goal for the Vikings.

OV and Stockbridge Valley/Morrisville-Eaton will meet again on Wednesday, this time at OV. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
