Boys Soccer: Afton/Harpursville shuts out Sidney
SIDNEY – After suffering their first loss of the season to Delhi, the Afton/Harpursville boys soccer team got back to work on Tuesday to take down Sidney 8-0.
The Crimson Knights were led by defenseman Aidan Rogers, who took control offensively to score two goals and three assists. Toni Obeada also added two goals in the mix, along with one assist while Ryan Dawson finished with one goal and two assists. Obeada is now tied with teammate Bobby Mercilliott with seven assists through eight games played.
Equan Patterson added to his goal total with one goal as he currently leads the team with 15 goals on the season. Bobby Mercilliott is not too far behind Patterson with 13 goals after he scored one in the victory.
The Crimson Knights stand tall at 8-1 on the season with another highly anticipated matchup against Greene on their home field this time. The game will be on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
