Celebrated local growers at the final summer season Oxford Farmers’ Market

OXFORD - Locally grown and produced food  along with exquisitely-made artisan crafts is what the Oxford Farmers’ Market is all about, all year round.

This Saturday will be their final (formal) Market of the summer season on Lafayette Park and it will be a celebratory one, with an abundance of late summer crops, baked goods, meats, dairy, grains and flowers still available, The RPMs performing in the bandstand, and an informal “Spinner’s corner”, where those interested in exploring or sharing the art of spinning and weaving can connect with each other,  9 a.m. to noon on Lafayette Park in Oxford. 

Starting on Saturday, October 7, regular Oxford Farmers’ Market vendors can be found at a number of seasonal markets and festivals, and also setting up informally on Lafayette Park from October 14 through the end of the month. The Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market will start up on Saturday, November 4 indoors in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Oxford on Fort Hill Park.
