NORWICH — Shoppers, adventurers, and athletes can gather together with shopping bags and trekking shoes in preparation of an extraordinary Saturday in the Park with Chobani, starting at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in West Park.
The cherished weekend market is in collaboration with Chenango Greenway Conservancy's annual Race to the Face 5K Run/Walk Mountain Goat Challenge with race time starting in the park at noon.
Norwich B.I.D. Executive Committee Member and Saturday in the Park Organizer Mindy Chawgo said, “This Saturday we're collaborating with the Race to the Face Run/Walk and we've also added additional vendors to total about 60; for a beautiful fall weekend.”
Chawgo said she was amazed at this year’s first Saturday in the Park gathering and how vendors were on point. She said the community just kept showing up.
Resident Jill Liberatore said, “It was so awesome. One of my favorite things about this area. Thanks to everyone involved.”
Chawgo said, “We are so grateful for each and everyone of you. You all make the market a huge success and we can't wait to spend another five weeks with you.”
