Norwich City Band to play for Monday Evening Music Club

NORWICH - The Monday Evening Musical Club is excited to begin its 114th season with a free concert by the Norwich City Band on Monday, October 2nd at 7 p.m. The performance will be held live at the United Church of Christ, 11 West Main St., Norwich, and will also be streamed virtually.
The evening will consist of a variety of patriotic music, show tunes and more by composers such as John Philip Sousa, Leroy Anderson, C. E. Duble and others.
The Norwich City Band is comprised of professional musicians, current and retired music teachers, students, and dedicated, accomplished amateur musicians. Gary Solomon, a retired Sherburne-Earlville music teacher, has been directing the Norwich City Band for 20 years.
Please join us for this free concert at 7 p.m. and consider contributing to our MEMC scholarship fund which has supported Chenango County music students since 1954. The MEMC is a 501©3 organization. Checks may be sent to MEMC c/o Donna Cuyle, 148 S. Washington Rd., Oxford, NY 13830.
