Norwich golf honors seniors in win over Seton Catholic

NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado golf team hosted Seton Catholic in Thursday’s final home match of the 2023 season, which was also senior night. Norwich wrapped up a successful regular season schedule with a 213-243 win to finish 11-1 and undefeated in STAC.
Prior to the start of the match, Norwich honored its five seniors. Congratulations to Braden Reid, Collin Scheuer, Jacob Morris, Aidan Stafford, and Jackson Sastri on your hard work and dedication to the Norwich golf program.
Junior Julien Smith led the Purple Tornado with an all-around low of 38 on the par-35. The seniors rounded out the scoring with Aidan Stafford on top with a 42 while Jacob Morris shot a 43. Braden Reid finished with a 44 while Jackson Sastri capped off the scoring with a 46.
Seton Catholic’s scores ranged from a low of 47 to a high of 52.
Norwich heads to the STAC Championship on Tuesday, October 10 at the Mark Twain golf course in Elmira.
