AK Strong Foundation hosting 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
BINGHAMTON – After receiving a lot of community support upon her recovery, Anielle McEwan-Lomnicki (AK) and her family are giving back to the community by hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament.
The Sidney student-athlete suffered a tragic injury at the hands of a drunk-driver and fought her way to recover. AK has also made several public appearances, including being the special guest at the 2023 Gus Macker tournament, where she made the “Do or Die Shot” on the first try.
AK volunteers for the Binghamton Bulldogs, a minor league pro basketball team, and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to host her own youth tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 11-5 at the Bulldogs Sports Complex in Johnson City.
There are three divisions for both boys and girls with four teams per division. One division is for students in third and fourth grade, one for fifth and sixth grades, and one for seventh and eighth grade.
These teams will be playing in a double elimination tournament with a minimum of two games per team. The cost of admission is $5 per person.
