Volleyball: UV defeats Greene in final match of season

NEW BERLIN – In a tough season for both MAC teams, the Unadilla Valley Storm and the Greene Trojans volleyball teams met for the final match of 2023. UV picked up their third win of the season with a 3-0 sweep. The Storm had also defeated Greene in the same fashion the week before.
Sophomore Shannon Gilbert led the Storm with six kills and 11 digs as Senior Arin Buchanan finished with five aces and nine assists.
Piper Hine had seven aces and six assists while Makayla Proskine contributed with six aces and four kills. Eighth grader Shyla Roberts rounded out the match with eight kills and seven digs in the win.
Izan Romero Requeno led the Trojans with two aces, three kills, one assist, and one dig while teammate Morgan Quarella had one ace and an assist in the loss.
